I am excited to be teaching Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra, Regular Algebra, and 8th Grade Pre-Algebra at the Buffalo Ridge campus.  Please see the copy of your child's math class syllabus below the calendar.  Many of your questions can be answered there. 

Algebra I and Geometry EOC - PM3 for 8th Grade Date Released.  All of my classes will be taking their state test on Monday, 5/13/24.  Please be sure to get a good night's rest, eat a good breakfast, and be on time to school that morning. Students will NOT be given a handheld calculator, so all work should be done using the "Online Calculator" on my Clever Page.  It is the EXACT calculator that will be embedded on the state test. 

4th Quarter - Almost all assessments will be "take home" assessments with a due date of a week or more.

Students may use their notes from videos, textbooks, live review notes, and assignments to complete assessements.  The work must be thier own and not from the internet, older siblings, family members, friends, or tutor.com. Using any of the sources will be considered cheating and will result in a 0% for the assessment and a disciplinary referral.  They are due on the given date - without exception.  There are no more re-tests or re-quizzes.

The last week of April, students will take a Formula Quiz.  These formulas are NOT on the state reference sheet, but are needed for success.  This will be taken in class in a testing situation.  It is the ONLY assessment that is NOT a take home assessment.

In Edpuzzle I post the daily review that I do in class.  If you are absent, or if you were present and want to see them again, you should watch the video. 

Tutoring

 I will tutor Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:00-7:50 AM starting April 2nd and ending May 8th. Please ask me for a pass. When you get to school, go to the cafeteria and show Mr. Chidester your pass.  You CANNOT come straight to my classroom. Students found wandering the classroom hallways without a pass may be in trouble with the front office.
